On Thursday the 30th of March, 3 junior volleyball teams headed to Splash in Leongatha for the South Gippsland Volleyball Sports. Teams in attendance included the two Bass Coast campuses, Leongatha, Mary Mackillop and of course Korumburra. Anticipation was high given that for a majority of students this was their first sporting experience at secondary level. The Yr 7 Mixed team played 3 games and were highly competitive in all games without ultimate success. A similar story for those that represented in the Yr 8 mixed team. They played four very close games without a win. Awesome work by both of these teams, they showed huge improvement over the day.

The Yr 7 Girls also played four close games however they were able to win all of these games. These girls have really put in a huge amount of work during Yr 7 sport classes and extra training at lunch times and to their credit this training paid off. These girls will go onto the next round at Morwell on Friday the 5th of May. Well done legends!!!
