Children Author Visit (F-Yr2)

Children’s Author visit - pre-order book within

Foundation & Year 1/2 students will welcome local children’s author Dave O’Neill in the fouth week of Term 2 (May 15th-19th).

Dave will run a session on chasing your dreams as relentlessly as seagulls chase hot chips. This will include reading his book the Seagull Who Soared, which was released last month.

The book tells the tale of Stevie the seagull who lives on the beaches at Torquay and dreams of finding Stingray Bay (Warrnambool). 

After shrugging off the voice of doubt, Stevie takes to the skies with stops at Bells Beach, Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay and the Apostles, before finally landing at her destination.

As a special offer for Miners Rest Primary School students - signed copies of the book can be purchased for $15 (retail $20) via the link below and given out on the day of the visit. Books can also be purchased on the day, or from Ballarat's local book stores.
