ART & SCIENCE

                                      Art

Students have had a great time in Art lessons since the start of Term 2. Our focus for the term is "Paper" and students have explored creating different Mother's Day crafts to display in the church for our recent Mother's Day Mass. Over the duration of the term, Grade 3-6 students will explore landscapes across different environments and F/1/2 students will explore paper craft with a range of different animals. The students are creating beautiful pieces of artwork which are being documented for our Specialist Showcase at the end of the year.

                                     Science

In Term 2, students are exploring Physical Science in our Science lessons. Students have explored the 5 senses, gravity, movement, sunlight, friction and bioluminescence.

F/1/2 students have investigated popcorn using their senses and explored how senses can help to keep us safe in different environments.

Grade 3/4 students have explored how things move through gravity and friction and how friction is an invisible force.

Grade 5/6 students have investigated how light travels and what are examples of natural and artificial light sources.
