New Chicken Coup Update

We are excited to share the progress photos of the new chicken coop which is being built with the support of our partnership with Emmanuel College (St. Paul's). The VCAL students who are learning construction are doing an amazing job. More updates to follow.

Father's Day Breakfast

We are excited to celebrate our Father’s, and other important men in our lives, with a

shared breakfast on Friday 2nd September. Miss Fleur will once again join us to provide hot bevvies. There will also be an assortment of sweet and savoury goods on offer, too. Breakfast will be followed by a prayer service to honour all the important fatherly figures in our lives, to which fathers / grandfathers / uncles etc will be welcome to attend.

In order to provide access to Miss Fleur Coffee van, and to ensure the safety of all, we will close the backyard gate on this day in the morning during drop off. We understand that this may pose an inconvenience for some, but there are a couple of alternative options you can consider for drop off in the morning, including:

  • Parking your car a street or 2 away then entering through the Eleanor Street gate
  • Dropping your child via car at the the Everard Street entrance

Community Project - As the World Turns

Our children have been spending the last three weeks exploring how designers and innovators turn their ideas into models and products.. They have applied the Design Process to plan, make, gather feedback and iterate on their designs. As the project draws to an end, the children will continue to finalise their proto-types and reflect on the journey they took as designers and innovators. They will use prompts like, “Is my design helpful? Have I sought feedback? Could my design potentially harm the community? How can we minimise harm caused by the creation and production of this design?”

Our exhibition, “100 Years From Now…” will be available for viewing from Monday, the 5th of September until Friday the 9th of September. The exhibition will be available for viewing between the times of: 8:15 and 8:45 am and 3:10 and 3:40 pm.

Our exhibition will feature traces of the project so far and will showcase our children’s representations of concepts they explored through the project,  such as influence and progress.

A recording of a tour of the exhibition will also be made available for those who are unable to attend in person.
