Year 9 Science have been learning about Diseases and having fun with the effects of yeast, a microorganism that has the potential to cause disease. Bulls’ eye dissections have interested students, especially those that successfully extracted the lens.
Year 10 Science have been playing with light and have created some reflective and refractive light artworks. Some of our students have also been creative, constructing models of chromosomes, the structure that carry DNA.
Year 9 and 10 Marine Studies students have been learning about the Rock Platform. Unfortunately, our Rock Platform excursion had to be postponed and will be happening early in Term 4. However, students were still able to produce ‘collectors cards’ of organisms found on the rock platform.

Year 11 Maths students are also hard at work preparing for their Year 11 Examinations in all maths courses. By the time this newsletter is published they will have finished their exams - well done to all students for doing your best in these assessments. Year 12 work will start within the first few weeks of Term 4, and students will need to remain focused and enthusiastic to ensure they put their best foot forward for the final year of high school Maths.
Year 12 Maths students are working extra hard to improve their understanding of the key concepts in their respective Maths courses in the last weeks of their high school careers. Your teachers wish all students the best of luck, and we will see you in the holidays for some final study and revision workshops.
