Year 12 PE

RPM Session

On Wednesday 17th August Year 12 PE visited Aquamoves for an express RPM session . This type of training method is known as HITT  (High Intensity Interval Training) and is one of the more challenging types of training sessions to participate in. 

 

Everyone did a great job following the instructor’s directions to get the most out of their workout. After completing the session the work didn’t stop there! Students completed a written reflection as part of SAC 2 Unit 4.

In addition the Strength and Conditioning Centre was used for a Year 12 PE practical reflection activity for Unit 4 SAC 2. The outcome they are working towards is gaining an understanding of how to effectively implement training to improve fitness. Students had fun completing a plyometric session. After their cool down they completed a written reflection and applied the training principles to their experience.
