Prayer for Family
Lord, I pray your hand of safety and guidance
upon all the victims of the regions under flood conditions.
Bless these people Lord and keep them safe.
Do not let the flood waters steal their lives.
Please provide safe passage out of danger.
Drive back the floods to protect homes, the precious animals and land.
We ask this in your name.
Amen
As I pen this final "Panorama" for Term 3, I can hear the Year 3/4 students and their laughter as they participate in a full day of science activities and fun organised by Mrs Cox. As I popped in there this morning it was a joy to see all of the students engaged in their experiments making and testing their predictions and hearing them discuss the different results and 'why' they occured. Wonderful to see the 'in the moment' learning that our staff provide students with everyday.
It has been a busy time since we last had a newsletter come out. Last week we had fours students celebrate their Reconciliation with Father Peter Paul, who was helping out the St Mary of the Angels Parish in the absence of Father Stephen. Such a delight to see our students work through their sacraments in a loving and supportive environment. My thanks goes to Father Peter Paul, Mrs Theresa Grills, Mrs Angela Hayes and Miss Tiffany Martin for the preparation of our students. Photos are in our 'Catholic Identity' page.
Last Tuesday the leadership team spent the day in Tenterfield at St Joseph's Primary with Principal Mrs Cherie Yates, Assistant Principal Mrs Jaqueline Wait and the St Joseph's team. We delved into data and observed their co-teaching school in action. I cannot thank Cherie, Jaqueline, the team and St Joseph's students enough for allowing Miss Martin, Mrs Hunt and myself to observe and ask questions throughout the day. We are looking forward to hosting St Joseph's Quirindi next term, as their leadership team comes to look into how St Mary of the Angels runs their literacy and numeracy blocks. Interschool sharing of great practice is how we all grow so we can provide the best possible out comes for our students socially and academically.
Thank you to our St Mary of the Angel Parents and Friends and School Advisory Council Members for their attendance and discussions at meetings this past week. We could not do this great work without your ongoing support. In particular I would like to mention Wendy Warner and Flick Williams for your help in cooking and serving the chicken and gravy rolls on Friday for out impromptu hot lunch!
In the words of Jack B "Hey Mrs Nugent, those rolls were delicious, I had three!"
Please have a love filled, safe and rest filled Term 3 holiday break, I look forward to seeing you all in full summer uniform when we return on Monday 10th October!
Blessings Zoe
