Drones

Last Wednesday, we hosted a Drones in Agriculture day at the College as part of our Agrifutures grant.  Using data from our own paddocks, we were able to see the applications of this technology in our industry. It was fantastic to see so many students engaged in the day alongside our Ag Advisory Committee and members of the public. Thank you to Stratus Imaging for presenting the day and sharing their expertise and knowledge with us.

ATAR Camp - Miss Sharpe

In week 3, Miss Jury, Miss Michelle and I took the year 12 ATAR students on their annual camp that offers them opportunities to further develop links with professionals in agriculture and be exposed to opportunities for higher education. Students visited CBH Group, Living Farm, DromeDairy Camel Farm, the State Library of WA, Curtin and Murdoch Universities. I sincerely thank the students who attended, for your demeanour and general professionalism. It's a pleasure to watch you engage in your futures. 

Country Week

This year we have seventy-two students participating in Country Week which is exciting, since we didn’t get to participate last year due to Covid-19 restrictions! The school is being represented by students playing Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Basketball and Netball.

A huge congratulations to all the staff and students involved who have been setting aside time after school to prepare for the competition with weekly training sessions. The personalised training gear the students have ordered has arrived this week and they are all eager to wear it around the College during residential time prior to our departure. 

Those of us involved, are looking forward to a week of sports and activities to showcase the sportsmanship and leadership qualities of our school.
