What a busy term!! We have just lost our tans from the North West Tour and a day doesn’t go by when we are all wishing to be back in Broome or Coral Bay, especially this week with the heavy rain and cold mornings. However, there is more to come with the Dowerin Field Days, The “Night at The Oscars” College Ball and Country week, all in the next two weeks.
A lot of information has been sent out to parents and carers regarding the upcoming events, however, we do need information back from you please, such as Dowerin Field Days attendance, Country Week Consent2Go and The Ball Consent2Go. This is especially important to assist in our catering and transport planning. All information regarding Dowerin Field Days and Country Week, have been covered by others but I am happy to help any student or parent that requires assistance, to put in leave for the next busy few weeks into REACH.
In regards to the ball, can I please ask that you send an email to myself at Kristine.van@education.wa.edu.au or to Cunderdin.WACoA@education.wa.edu.au informing us how your student and their partner will be leaving the Ballroom. We will have lists of all students and they will need to be signed out and/or checked off against the list of information you provide to us. I am really looking forward to seeing the students in their finery, as well as meeting many of you at the Parent and Citizen function on Saturday 27 August.
If boys who rented suits are not returning to the College before attending Country Week, can you please ensure the suits are repacked on their hangers, in the suit bags and given to another student returning on Sunday, as they will be picked up from the College on Monday 29 August by Ferrari Formalwear. Otherwise, parents can return them on the Monday to Ferrari Formalwear, 1505 Albany Hwy, Beckenham (9451 5077).
Can I please ask that parents check their son or daughters leave in REACH and ensure that all information is provided correctly. If a student is leaving early, we do need to know why they are missing school as part of our recording obligations to the Department of Education. It also assists us to ensure we have staff available to give them access to their rooms, to change or to get to trains on time. I also cannot stress enough, the importance of letting us know who your child is travelling with and staying with, if not at home. We take our Duty of Care very seriously and ensuring their safe travel to and from school is no different.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
