Starting School

All Prep families were mailed a school start letter last year confirming the details of their child's start at EHPS. Our Prep students commence with their compulsory School Entry Assessment (SEA) interview with their teacher; these interviews commenced last Tuesday (1 February) and will conclude on Monday (7 February). 

 

Preps will have their first day at school next Tuesday, 8 February. They will start at the time between 9am and 10am specified in your school start letter. Their first day will finish at 1.30pm. Parents are to wait at the designated location at the front of the school and your child will be brought out to meet you at 1.30pm.

 

From Wednesday 9 to Friday 18 February, Prep students will attend school from 8.50am to 2.30pm. If they will be going to After School Care at the conclusion of the school day, please inform their teacher. OSHC staff will collect Prep students enrolled in OSHC and booked to attend ASC from their classroom in the first weeks of school. 

 

Preps will commence school fulltime (at school by 8.50am and finish at 3.20pm) from Monday 21 February. 

Prep Bags

Every year in Term 1, each Victorian Government school Prep student receives a bag full of engaging resources to celebrate this milestone in their educational journey. The bag has been designed to be of use in the future, e.g. as a library bag.

 

Our Preps will receive their bag on their first day at EHPS next Tuesday.
