Welcome to our new look Library!
I am so excited to introduce to our school community our new Library program, Accessit.
Why are we using Accessit?
“Every student deserves a well-resourced and easily accessible library. The tie between libraries and academic success is well documented. It’s been proven that reading for pleasure is the single most important indicator of a child’s future success. Accessit helps to engage students in our school library catalogue, supporting them in their reading and discovery.”
All our students have their own personal log in to access the Library web app anytime, anywhere! Families are welcome to log in at home and explore the vast and wonderful books we have available to our students. Teachers have provided students with their log in details.
Students and families can access our Library, search for resources or put a book on hold all from the link on our school website. Under Learning and Teaching, you will find a Library tab to click on. Then click the Accessit logo to take you to our school’s personal dashboard. Once logged in using your child’s log in details, a dashboard will appear with lots of information on our school library, new books or series to explore and a Library timetable. Under your child’s name you will find their borrowing details, this will let you know what they have on loan and when it is due back along with their borrowing history.
Overdue notices will be emailed directly to Parent A (listed on student enrolments), on a weekly basis. We appreciate books being returned promptly and if a book is lost, a $10 fee will be charged to help cover the cost of a replacement. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
Just a reminder:
Prep – can borrow 1 Library book for 1 week
Grade 1 & 2 – can borrow 2 books for 2 weeks
Grade 3-6 – can borrow 4 books for 4 weeks
All students must have a Library Bag to bring books home.
I hope you all enjoy the new Library web app and the accessibility of information!
I would also like to congratulate our Library Leaders for 2022, Brad Connelly and Keiren Differ. We have many wonderful Library events to bring to our school community this year. Congratulations to you both!
Happy Reading!
Leanne Bentley
