A huge welcome to Bethany, our new Year 6 teacher

Where have you worked before?

Before I came to Clifton Hill PS, I worked at Balwyn North PS. During this time, I taught music and art as well as teaching for five years as a classroom teacher. I have really enjoyed meeting a few of you already and look forward to getting to know the rest of the community.

What is your favourite creative or relaxing outlet?

During my downtime I enjoy playing and listening to music. Over the last few years, I have been trying to learn how to play the guitar and the ukulele. I find music a great way to relax and to connect with others.

Tell us all about your pets.

I have two beautiful dogs, Remi, and Rupert. Rupert is a fluffy boy who loves swimming at the beach and eating lots of treats. Remi is an absolute sweetheart, he loves cuddles, fetch and sitting on my lap.

Who is your favourite author? Shaun Tan

My favourite author is Shaun Tan, I love how creative all his stories are and how they engage younger and older readers. The illustrations in his books are just as incredible as the story line.

Are you a Melbourne local or from somewhere else?

I grew up in Tasmania and moved to Melbourne to study teaching, nearly ten years ago now. My family still live in Tasmania, so I enjoy visiting when I can. I feel lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful part of the world but now enjoy living in busy and vibrant Melbourne.
