Progress Reports
Progress reports for Term 1 will be published for parents and carers to view via Compass on 10th March 2022. A 'how to view' your student's Progress report is below and can also be found in the Welcome to Compass booklet.
Entering Student Absences on Compass
The easiest and quickest way for parents/carers to inform the College of a student absence is to enter an Attendance Note on the Compass app before 9.00 am. Go to the Home Page on the Compass app and select Add Attendance Note:
Then add the details in the Attendance Note:
If the College is not informed about a student's absence, parents/carers will receive an SMS message later that day.
Car Parking at the College
As you can imagine with over 1100 students entering and leaving the College grounds each day it gets super busy out on McKean St! Our first concern is always for our students safety and with the congestion of cars out the front we do worry about kids crossing the road safely.
Just a reminder to parents/carers - it is illegal to park in the centre median strip. The street is the responsibility of the East Gippsland Shire and heads up - council rangers have and will check periodically. If you do park on the median strip you may incur a fine and we would not like to see your day end on a bad note. Best way to avoid a fine is to not park there.
Research Project - Quality Teaching Rounds
We are pleased to confirm that our school has been selected to participate in an exciting new research project focusing on teacher professional development called ‘Quality Teaching Rounds.’
The research is being undertaken by the University of Newcastle. Four teachers from our school, as well as some of their students, will be invited to participate.
Invitations and consent forms will be sent out to the relevant classes in due course. Student participation is entirely voluntary.
