How's School?

The DPS students are loving being back at school. They love seeing their friends, getting to know new people and learning the rules and routines of their new teacher and  classroom. Here is what the students had to say about their classroom and their learning journey so far in 2022.

Ayla Prep S - I like learning how to use the Ipad and practising my letters on it.

Kai Prep S - I enjoy drawing my family and things I like. I like playing with my friends.

Bella 1W – I feel happy to be in Grade One. I like playing with my friends.

Krish 1W – I am happy that I am making new friends at Doncaster. I like learn to learn at this school.

Fletcher 2P - I really like school and I like my teacher because he teaches us really well.

Teleah 2P - It has been great and wonderful because I am facing new challenges.

Mika 3L - I really like that I get to be with some of my friends from last year but also some new friends this year and a new teacher. We also had a new kid come to our school and it turns out it is my friend from kinder which is cool.

Noor 3L - I really like getting to know my new teacher because she is really nice. Grade 3 is really fun and we have been doing some fun new work too, which is harder than Grade 2.

Thomas 5E  - Some people were chatty in the first week, but once we discussed the class rules and expectations we got used to things and were more respectful of each other and our teacher. I like how quietly we work as a class and how respectful we are of each other. I am proud and happy of how quickly we got used to setting up and doing things correctly in the classroom.

Donya 5E - I'm really happy and I'm excited to keep learning about my teacher and my classmates. I really like that we did lots of activities to get to know each other. Each Monday we choose a class goal, I like this challenge and it makes me proud when we complete it. 

Jaelyn 6J - It has been fun being in a new class and getting to know everyone. I’m proud of getting to know each student and I have enjoyed the partner work.

Oshada 6J - I think I’ve done a good job settling in the class because I have friends in the grade. I have enjoyed working with groups which has helped my teamwork and communication skills.
