Assistant Principal's Report

Miss Carly Epskamp

WOW, I cannot believe it's been a fortnight since our last newsletter. We are well and truly into Term One now and lots of things have been happening and keeping us busy.

House Swimming

Congratulations to Mr Spinks and the swimmers who attended the House Swimming Event last Tuesday. There were lots of 1st ,2nd and 3rd place ribbons on display upon the students return to school. We wish all of our swimmers that are attending the District Swimming the best of luck for this Thursday.

Go DPS!

Beginning of the Year Program

Onsite, all of our classes have been working through a TEAM approach at the start of the year which focuses on things such as team bonding, establishing norms and routines and getting to know our new, safe and inclusive environment. As I walk around the school, I notice calm, comfortable and happy children, who are already displaying our school values of Determination, Pride and Success when completing their classwork.

Meet the Teachers WebEx

It was great to see hundreds of our DPS families attend the‘Meet the Teacher’ Webexes last Tuesday night. This was a great chance for teachers to introduce themselves to families and provide information about what happens at DPS in each year level. If you were not able to attend the WebEx, please contact your child's teacher to discuss the information that was provided.

Grade Six

This week our Grade Six students were presented with their polo shirts and bomber jackets, which they have been wearing around the school with pride. Here are some pictures of that special day.
