Principal's Report

Dear families,

What a fun week we have had! Hip Hop on Tuesday was very energetic, the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We certainly have some talented students.  This was followed by the Hockey Clinic on Wednesday. Despite the hot weather, the children had the opportunity to learn lots of skills. As we haven’t charged excursion levies this year due to the uncertainty of events, invoices will be sent home for activities as they occur. The hockey clinic however was sponsored by Hockey Victoria so there was no charge for this activity.

TWOS DAY

The fun continues next week with TWOS Day Tuesday 22/2/22 . It is a day when the school celebrates the number 2. Students can wear a Tu Tu or something else TWO related. Outfits need to be SunSmart, and appropriate footwear is to be worn. Hair must be tied back if it is longer than shoulder length.  Students are asked to bring along a gold coin donation. Money raised will support Tongan Tsunami Recovery (UNICEF).

THANKS

A big thanks to Rhonda White and Maria Serra for organising this quilt. It will stay in our school for many years to come. Thanks to their dedication and effort toward this piece of art. The grade 5/6s are extremely grateful.

 - Delilah T and Lachlan H

WELCOME BACK

Welcome back to Mrs Sproule who returned from leave last Friday. I’m sure students will enjoy having their PE teacher back.

HEADLICE

This week we have had a report of headlice. Please take the opportunity this week to check your child’s hair.

COMMUNICATION

Please keep your eye on our Facebook page we are using it this year to keep families abreast of events happening in the school. Currently emails are our main form of communication as our SMS system is undergoing some maintenance.

Have a great weekend, if you are on the water this weekend take care. I believe we have several people who have newly acquired their boat licence!!
