BBQ SUCCESS FOR MISSION SERVICE LEARNING

THANKS so much to everyone who supported our fund raising effort at our Bunnings BBQ Scoresby. We raised over $2500 from over 800 sausages cooked and sold. This achieved just over $1500 profit for us to  help train our students and teachers to serve their community better. Thanks to all who helped and prayed as the weather was clear enough to keep Bunnings very busy. Thanks again!

Andrew Farmer

Thanks to all parents, staff and students who participated in the Bunnings BBQ for our Mission Service Learning Activities! A big thank you to Sonia, Andrew, Marina and also to Peter for the amazing sign!

Blessings

WALKATHON RAISES MUCH NEEDED FUNDS

FOR ST ANDREWS

We would like to thank the College community for their support and fun that was had at the 'Walkathon' on last day of Term 3. There was continuous walking around the College grounds from 10 am until 3 pm with some classes doing many laps together. Mr Farmer and Mrs Hughes would have to get the “Most Laps Done" award by conducting all their classes while continuously walking around the college.

A big thanks must be expressed to the many volunteers and to Tim Burger & Lesley Goh who organised over 30 parents who helped throughout the day.   The volunteers were used all over the grounds by supervising where students were to  walk, keeping oranges and cups of water available as students walked by the station and assisting with lunch time fun on the basketball courts.

The event raised close to $5000 which will be put to a much needed requirement within the College.

The school also requires parents who volunteer or go on excursions to read and sign a Child Safety Code of Conduct form, which is available from the school office.

Parent Participation Hours

Families can participate by being involved in a variety of activities. During the year, notices will be sent out requesting parent help at various events or activities, for example, helping at sports carnivals, covering library books, icy pole Fridays, 2nd Hand Uniform Shop, PFA events, classroom help or attending working bees.

Parents are required to record the hours they have completed in the Parent Hours Book which is kept in the College Office. You will be charged a Parent Participation fee of $250 at the commencement of each year and will be credited at the end of the term for any work done. You will be credited at a rate of $25 per hour of work completed, up to a maximum of $250 for the year. The time requirement for each family is ten hours per year.
