MGC French Trip 2017

Expressions of Interest

Un grand bonjour à toutes les familles de MGC,

Many girls start studying French in Year 8 and many take the continuous and successful path to French in VCE. The important role of second language acquisition can be affirmed well beyond school and into our adult lives through travel, business and further education.

In order to help the cultural enrichment of our students, a guided study tour to France is offered every second year and we are asking interested families of current Years 8-11 to talk with their daughters about potential interest in the proposed 2 week trip next year 16-30 September (last week of Term 3 and the first week of the holidays). Actual days still to be confirmed.

During this time the girls will spend a week in Paris - still subject to DET Risk Assessment Policy due to recent events which may mean the trip is redirected but we will cross that bridge later – and the second week in Montpelier in a Homestay environment with language schooling to give the girls a day-to-day experience of living in a French family (and sharing this special time with their chosen MGC buddy).
