Year 8 Graffiti Incursion

On Monday the 14th of October the Year 8s participated in an incursion about graffiti and life skills. Xavier Diaz from the Warner Youth Education delivered a presentation to help shape student attitudes towards graffiti. He spoke to the students about the impact of graffiti on residential homes and businesses, the consequences for breaking the law and the difference between graffiti and legitimate street art. Xavier also taught the students strategies to cope with peer pressure and graffiti. These messages were delivered in an entertaining and informative way, and the students were engaged the whole time. Staughton College looks forward to making this an annual event for Year 8s.
