Kindergarten Canteen Purchases

Just a reminder that Kindergarten canteen orders are to be placed online. Kindergarten should not bring money to school and we ask that siblings not purchase items for their brother or sister. This would require older siblings to break school rules by leaving their supervised areas to bring canteen purchases to Kindergarten on the Adventure Playground.

Ordering online ensures food items are delivered to the Kindergarten classroom before students are walked down to the Adventure Playground. This provides the safest method for students to still enjoy canteen treats.

Having money to spend at the canteen can also be a huge distraction to learning for Kindergarten students. At this stage, it would be greatly appreciated if all canteen orders remain online for Kindergarten.

Thank you for your support of the Kinder teachers in this matter.

Health and Wellbeing from the Year 6 Student Wellbeing Committee

In our role as the Year 6 Health and Wellbeing leaders, we have helped to organise lunchtime activities for students in K-6. Last week we focussed on mental health by running mindful activities like colouring and drawing in the hall.

In weeks 5, 6 and 7 we are focussing on social and emotional health. Years 2 and 3 have already enjoyed musical statues and limbo in the hall with other grades participating later in the week.

All students have thoroughly enjoyed the activities we have organised. Here’s what they had to say.

“I got to use colourful pencils to draw and colour in” - Lily, Kindergarten

“I loved colouring in with my friends and being nice and calm” Alba, Year 1

“The mazes really challenged me and I got to figure out the puzzles!” Harry, Year 2

“I really enjoyed Limbo because the music was really good!” - Ava, Year 3

“I got to choose a mindful activity to do with my friends” - Viviana, Year 5
