Year 10 Murray River

Outdoor Education Camp

Last Friday seventeen Year 10 Outdoor Education students returned from a three day/two night canoeing expedition along the Murray River. Students paddled from Tocumwal Town Beach to Morgans Mill, approximately 35km, and camped along the banks of the Murray River.

Students developed their camping and paddling skills, whilst also learning about the Murray River environment and the impact of humans. With beautiful weather, everyone was able to enjoy the sights, spotting many endemic and migratory birds such as Kingfishers, Wedgetail Eagles and Pied Cormorants, as well as Koalas, Kangaroos and River Red Gums.
