Parent Teacher Student Conferences

It was wonderful to meet so many families online for PTS Conferences.  A huge thank you to our students and families who were ready and waiting to receive calls on TEAMs.

Professional Learning - Numeracy

Our work with our numeracy consultant, Chris Coombs, is really beginning to gain momentum. This work is utilising the current best practises to support student growth and understanding in numeracy through problem-based lessons to gauge student understanding.

We then use this information to support differentiated instructions through the sequence of lessons.  There is a focus on students building their own understanding and discussing this with their peers.

SEA Accomplishments

A huge congratulations to our students who received the top two SEA results, per year level:

Year 7: Andi Reza and Flordeliz Kirbie

Year 8:  Vera Asante and Tara Comline

Year 9: Ellie Michalaidis and Amber O’Toole

Year 10: Abbagail Hill and Lucy Ludlow

Year 11: Matthew Hanns and Eliza Bester

Year 12: Rowan Farren and Alisha Schippl

A special note of recognition to Rowan Farren who received the top result in the school with a 3.94 out of a possible 4.0.  Absolutely terrific work!

Withdrawing your child from NAPLAN

NAPLAN tests are a routine part of the school calendar.  However students may be withdrawn from the testing program by their parent or carer for reasons such as religious beliefs, or philosophical objections to testing.  If you wish to withdraw your child please email stacie.lundberg@education.vic.gov.au or call the school 5891 2000 to discuss.
