PFA Update
Annalie Darlington
Thanks to all the volunteers this term for working so hard to sell icy poles, arrange events, sell uniform, cook sausages, splash colour everywhere. We do a lot in a term and together we make a great team.
I hope you all enjoyed the Colour Run on Friday Night. It was wonderful to see the kids drenched in colour and families chatting and socialising in the park on such a lovely evening. Thanks to Victoria, Danielle and team for arranging such good weather and a fabulous event! Also a big thank you to Port Melbourne Woolworths and Bakers Delight for donations of Fruit, Cereal Bars and Bread. These donations helped make the event more profitable.
The PFA AGM was on Wednesday. Thanks to Annalie Darlington, Jo Cardamone and Michelle Ditton, who offered up their time for another year and were re-elected as President, Secretary and Treasurer. Victoria Mackey and Kate Esam will be co-Vice Presidents. Thanks to Victoria for standing once again and to Kate for stepping into this role for the first time and supporting the PFA more. We ran through every event and activity we run through the year, which is a BIG list. Every event is run by some amazing volunteers and we will unashamedly keep asking for extra hands throughout the year. Without volunteers we wouldn't be able to deliver awesome events, brighten up the community or raise funds. The current PFA has been quite stable for a few years and we will need to start handing over elements to a new team of parents. We have a few new members this year but would always welcome some new faces. Its never too late to get involved, so email the PFA email address any time to find out more.
Easter Raffle
Tickets have been sent out with all children, please drop completed stubs and money to the office on by Tuesday of next week.
We are also looking for more donations of raffle prices, think books, stickers, soft toys, craft packs, baskets - and of course chocolate!!. The more donations we receive, the more prizes we can put together (we usually aim for 100+ prizes!). Your donations will be gratefully accepted at the office by TUESDAY. The winners of the raffle will be announced on the last day of term.
Children's Book Stall
DONATIONS NEEDED for the book stall on Thursday 7th April. Books will be sold during the day, with a final sale 3.30 - 4.00pm at the second-hand clothing shop. We will sell them for $1 a book. Please send money with your child, they will only be able to select one book. At this point we may only run the stall for Prep through to Grade 4, as we do not have enough older books to service the older kids. We will confirm this on Monday based on whether we get more donations. Please drop any pre-loved children's books (in good condition) to the office, or email the PFA to arrange a different time if you have a large volume to donate. The more we have to sell the more money we can raise for the school. Get in touch if you can help run the stall on the day.
Movie Night
Join us on Friday 29th April for our Family Movie Night under the stars! We will be screening the movie Sing 2 (PG) on a gigantic 6m wide screen on the school oval. Gates open from 5.30pm via Poolman Street, movie commences at 6.30pm (sharp) and finishes at 8.20pm. Tickets are $5 per student. Parents and siblings under 4 years of age are free. All tickets must be pre-purchased. For more info and ticket sales please click here.
Mother’s Day Lunch update
Tickets went on sale on Wednesday, there was an early flurry but the internet did not collapse, merely groaned and slowed under pressure! The last tickets have sold this afternoon and we are now SOLD OUT. We will run a waitlist for any tickets that become available. Please email the PFA to get on the waitlist, we will run this on a first come first served basis.
Have a great weekend everyone
