Mr Irwin's Message

Mr. Irwin's Message

Hello Families, and welcome to this week’s newsletter.

I do apologise, however I’ve experienced some iPad troubles this week so there won’t be a video.

Welcome to the last week of term! Did you know this term is the longest consecutive period of time students have had at school since 2019? It’s not surprising everyone at school is starting to feel a little weary this week. With this in mind the holidays are an important time to rest and recharge before a short and sharp nine week Term 2 begins.

I’m really grateful to our community for what we’ve been able to achieve in Term 1. We’ve been able to achieve a terrific focus and continuity of learning all the way through. Our students have shown great effort and attitude across the Term, our teachers have worked as hard as ever to ensure there’s rigor every day and yet again our parent group have been supportive of students, staff and community events.

Our soccer pitch is now complete, save for letting the grass seed around it have some time to sprout over the holidays. This will be an excellent all weather surface which adds to our Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA) as a recently added space to support outdoor learning opportunities.

The efforts of our Parents' Club to drive our Colour Explosion fundraiser need to be commended, as does the support it has received from the broader community and parent group. We’ll keep updating you on the total raised as it continues, but suffice to say we’ve raised enough to see Mr. Irwin 'cop some colour' early in term 2!

For now, have a great rest of Term, a happy and safe Easter and look forward to seeing you all after a restful school holidays.

ANZAC Appeal

TPS is proud to support the annual ANZAC Appeal which changes the lives of veterans. With your help the RSL can lend a helping hand to thousands of veterans and their families. Every current and former service person of this great nation deserves our support.

Our Student Leaders will be visiting classrooms this week selling pins and badges for $2 and wristbands for $3.

Thank you for supporting the ANZAC Appeal.
