ConnecTED Learning

In ConnecTED Learning our Year 7 students have just completed their first inquiry by presenting their own understanding of belonging, Sacraments of Initiation, or Rites of Initiation.  Students were given free choice over creating their inquiry question and how they would like to present the information. We also had Year 10 student Will Hurst visit classes to talk to us about his process of engaging with inquiry, which was really helpful! We concluded our process with a great range of topics and technology.  The Year 7’s were an excellent audience and gave considered feedback to each other onwhat worked well (www) and how it could be even better (ebi).

Now we begin a connected HSIE and English unit looking at the ancient past.  Today for our launch we were 'history detectives', learning how to use evidence to develop theories and justify our reasons.

Finally, we had Mr David Kennedy and Mr John Van Every from the Wagga Wagga Gideon Camp visit us again this year to hand out pocket Bibles to all of the students in Year 7.  David is an amazing, positive role model for us and we look forward to his visit every year.

Well done on another great couple of weeks year 7. Keep up the great work and enthusiasm!
