Year 7 Product Design

Year 7 have been working on their production skills in the workshop to create a personal sign. The new skills that they have developed include:   

• Measuring & marking
  • Using a pencil, steel rule, tri square and compass
• Cutting & shaping
  • Using a coping saw and sanding blocks
  • Laser cutting
• Finishing & assembly
  • Applying a surface decoration – wood burning, painting and varnishing
  • Laser engraving

We are super proud of their outcomes.
