News from the

Library

It’s the end of Term 1 already! The Library staff have been busy getting a pile of new books ready for holiday reading and students have been stocking up. Personally, we will be taking the chance to make headway through our own reading piles. The Library staff wish you a restful term holiday break, and if you read something amazing let us know, and send a review if you can 😊

Artisan of the Month and Resident Writers

Why not use the term holidays to charge up the creative side of your brain and create something for Artisan of the Month or Resident Writers.

For Artisan of the Month you can enter anything creative - photos, drawings, sewing, knitting, carpentry, pottery, origami, an original piece of music, decorated cake etc. - so long as it can be submitted digitally (eg photo or sound recording).

There are three categories - Student, Staff, and Family & Friends. April/May submissions can be emailed to library@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au by Monday 16th May. If it is a Family & Friends submission, please mention which student or staff member you are connected to.

Term 2 Resident Writers entries should be between 250 -350 words, shorter ok but not significantly longer. Send your entries to library@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au with the subject line Resident Writers entry. If it is a Family & Friends submission, please mention which student or staff member you are connected to.

By submitting you agree to be published to the school community (on Teams, in the College Yearbook, etc) - please contact us if you want to submit but prefer to keep your work anonymous.
