CAREERS

Deakin University have been attending Melton SC as part of an ongoing partnership to introduce our students to MODS (Mentors of Deakin) and possible Career Pathways. The MODS have attended 3 weekly Year 11 VCE & VCAL classes introducing students to workshops to assist with:

• Studying for Success
• Pathways into University & TAFE
• Wellbeing
• Financial Planning

This partnership will continue in Term 2 when our Year 10 students will participate in activities on campus at Deakin Waurn Ponds in the hope that this exposure will aspire our students for pursue post-secondary education.

Western Chances Awards Ceremony

The annual Western Chances Awards ceremony was held on 23 March at The Edge Federation Square. Western Chances support high achieving students with scholarship funds to support their secondary and tertiary studies. Congratulations to the successful 20 students who have received this recognition of their 2021 Academic Excellence, of whom 6 students and their families attended the evening to receive their certificates.
