Pastoral Care and Wellbeing

Wellbeing for Learning Tool

Developed by educators for educators, Pivot’s practical and targeted Wellbeing for Learning tool allows us to measure, track and support student wellbeing so our students are better placed to learn. At the end of last term, our students undertook a baseline survey during Learning Mentor time to begin this process, and students will be able to complete a one minute check in each week that helps identify any concerns, enables students to reflect on their own wellbeing, develop strategies and help seeking behaviour, and provides recommendations and resources. The Wellbeing for Learning Tool is consistent with the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework and enables us all to support the wellbeing, learning, growth and achievement of our students. We welcome any feedback from you and your student regarding this.

Wellbeing Focus this week - Sexting

Our children’s safety and wellbeing is of the highest importance. Our Pastoral Wellbeing program enables us to put significant topics in the spotlight and provide resources, information and support to our students, families and school community.

Sexting (or 'sex texting') is the sending or receiving of sexually explicit or suggestive images, messages and video via a mobile phone or the internet. These days, almost every child has many ways to get online making it very easy for teens to create and share personal photos and videos of themselves without their parent's knowledge, or a full understanding of possible impact and consequences of this.

To access fact sheets, videos, interviews, information and resources about sexting, legal and other implications and talking to your child about this topic, please access our SchoolTV:
