DECEMBER

Fri 6th: Orientation day for current Year 10’s to prepare for Year 11 in 2020 - Wanganui Park SC all day.

Mon 9th: Closing date for change of address and payment to VTAC to receive ATAR statement by mail

Wed 11th: Year 11 (2020) course confirmation day - Wanganui Park SC

Thurs 12th: VTAC Results and ATAR in VTAC account, 7am

Fri 13th:  Change of Preference BBQ in SLC, from 11:30 am, La Trobe & GOTAFE available.

Sat 14th: VTAC Change of Preferences closes (temporarily), 4pm

Wed 18th: VTAC December Round Offers released (some courses only), 2pm

Wed 18th : VTAC Change of Preferences opens (temporarily), 4pm

Sat 21st: VTAC Change of Preferences closes, 4pm

3 Ways to access VCE Results and ATAR

  • Any student with Unit 3 & 4 enrolments for this year can use the results services (e.g. Year 11 students completing a single Year 12 subject). They need to register for the results service and create a secure password.
  • A VTAC account is not needed to access results. Only students who are applying for tertiary courses commencing 2020 should have a VTAC account at this time.

 

VCE Summer School

The University of Melbourne Student Union is running their annual two-week VCE Summer School at the Parkville campus. This is fantastic program, offering one-to-one tutoring, workshops, lectures, take home VCE preparation materials, and social activities. Cost is $219 which covers most activities. Rural students can apply to stay at St Hilda’s College for the two weeks for a cost of $419, which includes meals and activities.

The ConocoPhillips Science Experience

Current Year 9 and 10 students are invited to apply for one of the following two ConocoPhillips Science Experiences in January 2020:

• 13th – 16th: The University of Melbourne, Parkville.

• 14th - 16th: RMIT University, Melbourne.

You will be able to go behind the scenes and sample the exhilarating world of science. You will perform experiments, participate in field excursions, listen to university lectures and experience the excitement of life on campus. Filmmaking Summer School

This intensive summer school is taught by Australia’s leading film industry professionals and is suited to people from all ages and backgrounds. If you have a passion for filmmaking and would like to learn new skills, work with industry experts, and meet like-minded young people from across Victoria, you should consider participating in this fantastic program.
