Snap lockdown information

Dear parents and carers,

Earlier today, once again, the Victorian Government announced that, on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, Ballarat will enter a snap lock down from midnight tonight, which will impact our final two days of learning.

Please note, schools, kindergartens & Out of School Hours Care will all close for the duration of the lockdown, or until further notice.

Students can attend on-site for the following reasons: children of authorised workers; vulnerable students; or students with disabilities.

If you can work from you must work from home.

Please consider carefully, your need to have children attend on-site.  It must be only if there is no alternative. There is pressure on students, staff and families to continue with remote & flexible learning, which is compromised with students attending on-site, if not necessary.  Our numbers in comparison to other neighbourhood schools, are extremely high and one of the highest across greater Ballarat.  Please consider others…

Our roadmap for our two days:

KINDERGARTEN – Open to children of authorised workers; vulnerable students; or students with disabilities.

OSHC – Open to children of authorised workers; vulnerable students; or students with disabilities.

PRIMARY SCHOOL

Open to children of authorised workers; vulnerable students; or students with disabilities.

Thursday will be our footy colours day – remotely

Friday, classrooms will hold class collaborative sessions and continued learning as previously planned. Classroom teachers will notify students in class sessions of individual room/year level expectations.

Please see below, additional attachment for booking students – complete responses by 11pm tonight. https://forms.gle/a6kUajDWS4nHGRr78

Thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Footy Colours Day

I'm very much looking forward to seeing all students and staff in their footy colours tomorrow.

Whether on-site or online, we will feature as many students as possible in their 'crazy get-up', showing their alliance to their club or code.

It is always a highlight on our calendar, and we unfortunately missed out on it last year, so can't wait for tomorrow.

Extra special this year for our Demons and Doggies supporters!

End of term

This Friday is the final day of term 3 for 2021.  Our day on-site and online concludes at 2:30pm.

First day of term 4 is Monday 4 October.

Thanks for all your support, understanding and patience in another challenging term.

Fingers crossed, we can all begin term 4 on-site.  I will keep correspondence going during second week of holidays, once I know a confirmed path.

Please stay, stay well and as always, keep looking outward.

I acknowledge the First Peoples of the Wathaurong, who are the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which I work and live, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
