Chaplain's Corner
Hello MPS Family
It has been a busy term already in Chaplain's Corner. I have spent much of my time supporting the school with the set up of our breakfast club which is now running daily by staff volunteers.
Now that this is set up I will be returning to seeing more of my one to one support students and engaging in some lunch time activities from time to time this term.
Assembly Coffee Morning this Friday
I look forward to catching up with parents, carers and family members at the Pre-primary assembly (Magpies) this Friday. Come help yourself to a free coffee, tea or Milo and have a chat.
Cyber Safety
Everyday both in my role as a Chaplain and as a parent I hear of children who are accessing content that is way out of the recommended rating for their age group. The most recent example is 8 and 9 year old who are watching the Netflix series The Squid Game and playing 18+ gaming.
Without lecturing you it is well researched that even if your children don't seem to be "affected" by the adult content that children's brains are not developed to cope with this content. That leads to issues with regulation, emotional regulation and mental health issues.

World Teacher's Day
This Friday is World Teacher's Day. Working in schools gives me the immense privilege of coming along side teachers and support staff who go above and beyond for our children everyday. Thank you amazing staff.
