School Council Meeting Report – Term 3 2021

THANK YOU AND WELL DONE TO ALL CHPS STAFF!!

THANK YOU AND WELL DONE PARENTS/CARERS!!

THANK YOU AND WELL DONE TO ALL STUDENTS!!

Thanks to the combined efforts of our school community, we have all made it through yet another period of extended Remote Learning.  At our two scheduled meetings this term, School Council have shared collective feedback and complimented the Principal Team and all School Staff on their successful transition between onsite and online/remote learning.  We really appreciate their efforts to keep our children connected to the school, with their classmates and  teachers, and with their learning. I’m not saying that it is always easy, but remote learning does give our children and families something positive and rewarding to focus on during these periods of extended lockdowns and we are very grateful for that.  The quality of the live lessons, class meets, small group lessons and online content have been excellent as has the ongoing support from teachers/staff.

School Council have continued with their usual work of passing a number of updated policies, by keeping informed of upcoming CHAPS and School events and we engaged in a workshop relating to the Schools NAPLAN Data, school targets and overall performance.  Finance and Principal updates also took place accordingly.

I hope that everyone will enjoy a break from remote learning during the next fortnight. We are all looking forward to a return to normalcy and seeing all staff and students back on site as soon as this is possible.
