Naidoc Week

Term 3 in the Art Room started with creating Indigenous inspired artworks to celebrate Naidoc Week. Students were inspired by Aboriginal artists such as Bronwyn Bancroft.

Across all year levels, students experienced and explored weaving. The year 3’s, 4’s and 5’s created their own looms to weave a pattern and picture with wool and cardboard. The Preps, Year One’s and Two’s made paper weaves with different strips of colour and pattern . Students also continued to build their skills in the areas of painting and drawing. The Year 6’s were introduced to knitting and stitching. They were also interested in using fabric to design their own clothes.
