Resource Centre

The new system for sending student overdue notices for library books and textbooks was activated this week after notification of the new format was sent to parents/guardians through the last Newsletter and the Compass Newsfeed. This means that parents will now receive notifications of the books owed to the Resource Centre with cost/s, as well as students.

This new system will keep parents/guardians informed of overdue library items and provide them with the opportunity to address the issue with their student/s so that the replacement cost of the overdue items is avoided. Overdue books must be returned in good condition otherwise the replacement cost will stand. Students will receive a reminder before a final notice is generated for the replacement cost of the book/s. Therefore, all students must check their email notifications and notify the Resource Centre Staff should they require an extension of time.

Notifications with costs for those items not returned from 14th October 2022 to 31st December 2022 will be sent to the Finance Department on Monday 5th June for processing as all students have received several reminders last year and this year to return their overdue books.

The Resource Centre is hosting a book display drawing attention to the Riverina Climate Update to be held on Thursday 22nd June 2023 4.00pm-7.15pm at the Wal Fife Theatre, Charles Sturt University, Boorooma Street Wagga Wagga. This event is a collaboration between Kildare Catholic College, Charles Sturt University, Australian National University and Wagga City Council to present an overview of how our climate is changing, our response and solutions to the issue.
