Wagga Tertiary Education Expo 2023 15th June EOI - Must be filled out ASAP

The Wagga Wagga Tertiary Education Expo is an annual event that promotes further education pathways to senior secondary students.

Additional event details:

This expo will be attended by universities, TAFE, providers of cadetships, private providers of education and providers of accommodation from universities throughout NSW, ACT and Victoria. ?A list of presenters will be provided to students in the weeks leading up the the event. The expo will be held at the Range Convention Centre on Thursday 15th June.

 

Any student who is considering Tertiary Education beyond school should attend this event.

 

Students who are interested in an employment pathway will have the opportunity to attend the Wagga Employment Expo to be held in August.

 

Students will be provided transport to and from The Range and will be away from school for approximately 2 hours.

 

This is not a compulsory excursion, only students who complete the Wagga Tertiary Education Expo EOI Google Form will be added to this event. Those who have not been given permission by a parent/carer via Compass will not be able to attend.

 

This event is open to Year 10 - 12 students, however it will be capped at 130 students. Priority will be given to Year 12 then Year 11 and then Year 10 if we reach our limit, so it is important to fill out this form ASAP If you are successful in gaining a place more information will be sent via Compass.

Welcome to Eyes Wide Open 2023 - an opportunity for Riverina High School students to get a glimpse of what a future working in healthcare may look like. This is your opportunity to meet with local health professionals to hear about their journey from high school to working in their chosen field. Each student will have the opportunity to attend 3 sessions to learn more about the varied jobs available in the health sector.

 

To help us with planning this event, could you please select your top 3 areas of interest in the health industry.

 

Filling out this form DOES NOT mean that you are guaranteed a place in your chosen sessions, however, we will do our best to make sure you attend 2 of your Top 3 preferred interest areas. You will be provided with the timetable of your sessions closer to the event.

 

This event will have very limited numbers. Each school will be allocated a certain number of spots. Priority will be given to Year 12 students, however if numbers permit, Year 11 students will also be able to attend.

 

Also, please note that your school will require you to either complete a permission form either online or manually.

 

There is no cost involved for this event.

This event is for Year 9 students, with Year 10 students able to fill any extra spots that schools have. The program has been designed with the event sponsor, Agrifutures, to highlight the different careers in agriculture available to local students. 

 

Students will participate in an interactive workshop and rotate through 2 out of 3 possible industry sites – CSU Smart Farm, TAFE Primary Industries Centre, Riverina Oils/My Chef.
