Riverina Chess

Round 2 WIN!

Round 2 of the Riverina Chess Competition took place Thursday morning against KHS. A great start by the team, the second half of the games came down to the wire. With boards 3 and 4 won, great job Ryder and Oliver, we needed a win from either board 1 or 2 to progress to the next round.

Two very competitive games left, the win came from Albert, being outnumbered at least 3 to 1, he won his match and the round with a tactical sacrifice to checkmate his opponent.

Well done to the KCC and KHS teams, looking forward to playing again in the future.

The team will now prepare for round 4, missing round 3 due to a bye.
