Juno's Lollypops FH

This week the Foundation students finished their art piece after studying the element of ‘Line’, so many skills were learnt and used to create these masterpieces. First the students learnt the technique of oil pastel resist where they drew a variety of different lines in each section in white pastel. Initially the students were disappointed that they could not see their lines, until they used blue liquid watercolour and they ‘magically’ appeared and they were overjoyed!

 

Next they applied their knowledge of warm colours and making patterns and painted their spirals and horizontals lines in tempera paint, they worked very hard to paint within the lines. Finally, they used cutting and gluing skills to put the whole artwork together. They thought very carefully about where to place their lollypops, some high and low and overlapping, so they were more interesting and balanced across the artwork. I’m sure you will agree that they look wonderful and bright, all students in Foundation should be very proud of themselves!
