K-10 St Philomena's Athletics Carnival

Secondary NSW Netball All Schools Cup

On Thursday 1 June, our Secondary St Philomena's Netball Teams travelled to Inverell to compete at the NSW Netball All Schools Cup. All students did an amazing showcasing their incredible netball skills, some people for the first time! Well done to all of the teams on the day! 

Thank you to Miss Isabella McGrath, Miss Georgia Macmahon and Mrs Amber Clarke for coaching and preparing the students for the day! 

A special congratulations to our 9/10 Girls team who placed second on the day. This team will progress into the Regional Finals to be held in Tamworth on Wednesday 20 September, 2023. Good luck, girls! 

Primary Diocesan Gary McSweeney Cup

On Monday 29th May, selected St Philomena's students travelled to Tamworth to compete at the Gary McSweeney Rugby Union Cup. The boys did a phenomenal job competing against teams from all around the Armidale Diocese. 

It was a big day with the boys playing five games of Rugby Union, showing off their skills and sportsmanship. Our St Philomena's team did an exceptional job making it to the Grand Final, finishing as the Runner Up on the day. Well done to all our players! 

Thank you to Tim Poole for coaching the boys and to Riley Carroll for managing our team! 

A special congratulations to Leeroi Stokes, Zach Hobday, Darcy Osborn and Bruce Antees who were selected into the Armidale Diocesan Rugby Union Team. These boys will travel to Forbes later this term to compete the NSWCPS Rugby Union Championships. Good luck, boys! 

Secondary Diocesan Soccer

On Thursday 25 May, our St Philomena's Secondary Soccer teams travelled to Gunnedah to compete at the Diocesan Soccer Gala Day. It was a great day with students showing of their sportsmanship and soccer skills. Well done to all players!
