From the Principal's Desk

SRC News

Over the past week, our Student Representative Council put together their advertisement campaign in search of a Support Teacher who will guide and support them and play an important part in linking all parts of the school: students, staff and principal.

They listed the qualities of a Support Teacher as someone who:

  • Can be Trusted
  • Is Respectful
  • Is Prepared
  • Is Supportive and;
  • Listens to their ideas

They worked so hard as a team to finalize their campaign in such as short time and I was so impressed with their 'get up and go'  and how collaboratively they worked.

Please check out their print and social media campaign below.

Cross Country

Congratulations to our students who participated in the Divisional Cross Country Championships this week and tackled the gruelling course at Brimbank Park.

Pastry Day

Our Pastry Day was a huge success on Monday with so many children enjoying pastry delights from Tony's Pies and Ferguson Plarre's.

Thank you so much to Margaret Berkis and Mirella Verga for their organisation and to our band of PFA helpers who helped feed the hungry hordes.

School Closure Day

Please note in your diaries the date of our next School Closure Day: Staff Professional Development Day which has been scheduled for Monday 10th July, the first day of Term 3.

On this day, in preparation for our School Review, staff will be engaging in self-assessment and reflection on our improvement and performance over the past four-year period of our School Improvement Plan.

As a staff, we will be utilizing the School Improvement  Framework Rubric to plot our performance against set criteria of the five spheres of schooling. These spheres are the core drivers that support student growth and development-

  • Religious Dimension
  • Student Wellbeing
  • Learning and Teaching
  • Leadership and Management
  • School Community

Students do NOT attend school on this day.

Timetable Changes

As our teachers will be given time to plan extensively for Term 3 please note that there will be timetable changes over the coming weeks to facilitate planning. Your teachers will notify you of any uniform changes.
