Year 7 Camp
Our Year 7 camp had a lot of exciting and interesting memories that I will remember as my first camp at high school.
The camp we stayed at was beautiful with the lake in the front and the wild bush in the back.
Our cabins had seven bunk beds inside of it with heating and carpets.
The activities were really exciting like abseiling, where you walk down a platform sideways or the aeroball, where you team up and shoot into goals to get points.
There was even laser tag at camp!
This camp has helped me make a lot of new and funny memories and friends too.
It will always be remembered as the first camp of high school.

Banyule Youth Summit
On the 25th of May, myself and the other Year 10 leaders had the great opportunity to attend the Banyule Youth Summit held at Heidelberg Golf Club.
The summit that was held this year brought roughly 100 students and young people together from the Banyule area to discuss the plethora of topics that meant the most to us.
We were able to have great, meaningful discussions with other like-minded individuals about topics ranging from cultural inclusion, gender equality, mental health, masculinity, youth inclusion, LGBTQIA+, body image, alcohol and drugs, and many more.
This experience was particularly enticing as not only did we get to share our common experiences, but we were given the opportunity to come up with solutions that change the social standards set for the next generations. Additionally, a range of politicians and decision-makers were able to hear firsthand our experiences and plans for the future.
Overall, it was a great privilege to be invited to such an event where we were able to see our ideas acknowledged and recognized.
