Last Thursday the Year 4 & 5 girls participated in a discussion with Sandy Darwin, a Registered Nurse/Midwife within the area of Reproductive Sexual Health and around autonomy of the female reproductive system and importance of looking out for each other. This information will help to keep your child safe, healthy, happy and informed. We encourage you to talk to your children at home about what they are learning at school and share your knowledge, values and beliefs with them.
PARENT TIPS FROM
School holidays will be upon us soon (23rd June) and soon enough you will be hearing “I’m Bored’. And so begins the cycle of suggesting activities until something captures some interest–until, not long after, boredom strikes again.
The good news is that psychologists say boredom is good for children. It helps develop kids' creativity, imagination and discover their true interests.
Still, constantly hearing “I’m bored” is…well, tiring.
So, what’s the solution?
Create an “I’m Bored” Jar–a fun, screen-free way for kids to entertain themselves with the power of their imaginations.
