Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,
As I write today’s newsletter our teachers are writing mid-year reports and preparing for Assessment Conversations which will begin next week.
Conversations will begin for Mrs Ryan’s Grade 3 class next Tuesday, June 13th. Our Grade 5 classes are next Friday, June 16th and the remainder of our classes are scheduled for the following week.
Parents will be able to book these meetings via PAM from 1:00pm today.
The mid-year reports serve as an important tool to assess your child's progress so far and provide valuable insights into their academic performance, strengths, and areas for improvement.
These reports will be distributed at the Assessment Conversations where our teachers will be able to elaborate on information contained in the report. Our students are invited to attend the Assessment Conversation to offer their own insights into their progress and plan for a productive second semester.
During the interviews, our teachers will share insights from the mid-year reports, highlight areas of growth, and address any concerns you may have. We believe that open communication between parents and teachers is essential for the holistic development of our students. Therefore, we strongly encourage all parents to attend these interviews.
We kindly ask that you do your best to schedule a meeting within the time available. If you are unable to attend on the scheduled dates, please contact the school office. Thank you for your continued support.
CALENDAR CHANGE A final reminder that our school is definitely open as usual this coming Friday, June 9th. We will, of course, be closed on Monday, June 12th for the King’s Birthday Public Holiday.
FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART Our school will celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart next Friday, June 16. Fr Michael will celebrate Mass with us in our Multi-purpose room from 10:00 am. This feast has traditionally been the ‘Poor Man’s Mass’ where collections of non-perishable foodstuffs, doonas and personal hygiene products have been given to our local St Vincent de Paul Society for distribution to those in need in our community.
If you are able to contribute to this appeal we would be very grateful.
