A message from our Principal

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,

Our Professional Development Day was very successful with staff on Tuesday.

Andrea Hillbrick facilitated the day on place value in Numeracy.  She shared lots of practical ideas that would engage the students.

Teachers started using these strategies the next day and there was lots of excitement in the classrooms.

Ndela Family Appeal

Thank you to Staff, students and families who have generously donated to the appeal for the Ndela family, who lost their home and all of their belongings in a house fire recently.

We are happy to advise that our School Community have raised $1869.85.  This was a fantastic effort and the family are extremely grateful.

Festival of the Sacred

On Wednesday, our Year 5/6 students attended the Festival of the Sacred at Kyabram. Other schools that performed were St. Mary's Mooroopna, St. Augustine's Kyabram,

St. Patrick's Tongala, St. Mary's Rushworth and our School.

Schools performed songs together and each school had a song that they performed.  It was amazing to watch such talented students.

A special mention to our soloists:

Tamsyn McGregor and Iabelle Pensak, Mia He and Grace Miksad, and Katie Hamilton and Vinay Matthew who introduced our song.  Fantastic effort!

Well done to Miss Amelia Mangiameli that conducted for the song our students sang.

We were extremely proud of all our Year 5/6 students and the photo's will show their fantastic participation.

Special thanks to Angela Collins and Amelia Mangiameli that were involved in the rehearsal of our students.

Junior Years

Today our Juniors are having an Incursion at school.  We had a group called Wild Action that brought lots of Australian native animals to school.  The children were really looking forward to it.

Mass of Compassion

As we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart, we had our Mass of Compassion today for our Year 3-6 students and Years 3-6 students from St. Luke's.

Our students have been bringing warm clothes to school to donate to needy families and St. Vincent De Paul.

Thanks to Mrs Leanne Pellegrino for all her work.

Thank you to parents who have supported this appeal.  We are very grateful.

School Holidays

The term has flown and we thank students for all their work and parents for their support.  A big thank you to teachers for your work ethic and care.

Reports will be sent home later next week.  We finish school at 2.20pm on Friday, 23rd June as all buses leave early.

May you have a lovely time with your children on the holidays.

Kind regards,

Paula Stevenson
