Grade 5 and 6

Reconciliation Week

For Reconciliation Week, students in Grade 5 and 6 learnt about the 1967 Referendum where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders were given, constitutionally, the same rights as all Australian citizens. They studied words related to reconciliation to help them consider ways in which they could take action or use their voice to be an ally to First Nations people. A display was created of their ideas to share them with the community.

Interschool / Intraschool Sport

Our students have enjoyed participating in a variety of winter sports this term. A big thank you to Mr Holland for his seamless organisation, to ensure a smooth running of the program. Congratulations to all students for their excellent sportsmanship, willingness to participate in new sports and the way in which they represented our school. We send our best wishes to the teams that have progressed to playoffs. Go WPPS!

Warrandyte High School Performance

Our Grade Five and Six students were treated to a musical performance by Warrandyte High School. There were a variety of instruments that students heard and learnt about, as well as fantastic ensemble performances. We loved seeing our former WPPS student, Chloe M, showcasing her vocals.

Our Grade Five students were also lucky enough to go to Warrandyte High School to watch a dress rehearsal of their upcoming production of Matilda. They loved hearing the music, seeing the extravagant costumes and witnessing a favourite story come to life on stage.
