eClassroom Workshop

Year 12 Community and Family Studies (CAFS) students are currently exploring specific groups within the community including homeless people. They are examining the nature of the group, their specific needs and level of access to services. On Wednesday our Year 12 CAFS students were very fortunate to participate in The Big Issue's eClassroom workshop on homelessness. The hour long workshop was delivered from The Big Issue's headquarters in Sydney via an online program directly to our classroom. The presentation included a guest speaker who has experienced homelessness for many years. Students were able to interact with the presenter and guest speaker asking questions to increase their knowledge and understanding of homelessness in Australia.
