Pierre de Coubertin Award

Congratulations to Sophie Quirk who recently received a Pierre de Coubertin Award.

Excerpt from the presentation - The award is an initiative of the Australian Olympic Committee. The award recognises your sporting achievements and the demonstration of those endeavours consistent with the aims of the Olympic movement. Through your participation in a range of sporting activities, you have made an exemplary effort to achieve your personal best and displayed qualities of fair play which have inspired the involvement of others.

Sophie has been a member of an Australian Under 18's Squad (Rugby 7's), a State Representative in 3 sports (Rugby 7's, Touch and AFL) and has been selected in 3 All School Teams and 8 CCC Teams since being at Kildare Catholic College. She has also been involved coaching and umpiring junior sport in the hope of encouraging others and giving back to the sporting community.
