CCC Cross Country

On Friday, 16th June, six of our elite runners travelled to Eastern Creek in Sydney as part of the Wagga Wagga Diocese team competing at the Combined Catholic Colleges' (CCC) Cross Country. The challenging course saw our competitors achieve positive results, with many of the Kildare runners competing at their first CCC Cross Country.

Molly Carter in the 15 Years girls ran 4km in 16:25 minutes and came 8th out of 61 runners. This great result sees Molly join the CCC team at the All Schools Carnival in July and we wish her all the best for that carnival. Asha Murphy also ran in the same race and gained a commendable rank of 33 / 61 with a time of 18:58 minutes.  Alicia Donohue ran in the 12 Years girls, a distance of 3km  in a time of 19:19 minutes and gained a rank of 53/61. Zoe Leary competed in the 14 Years girls with a time of 20:32 minutes for the 4 km distance and a rank of 55/60. Running together over a distance of 6km in the 16 years boys, Lachlan Webber (26:31 minutes) and Chantz Carey (27:10 minutes) gained positions of 47 and 54 out of 60 respectively Congratulations to all runners for their efforts and we look forward to hearing how Molly fares at the All Schools carnival.
