VISIT  FROM  BISHOP SHANE  MACKINLAY 

On Sunday July 17th, St Mel’s Parish will welcome Bishop Shane Mackinlay.

Bishop Shane will lead our 9:30am and 5pm Masses on this day.

Following the 9:30am Mass there will be a light morning tea available, all welcome.

During both our Sunday Masses, our Sacramental Candidates from last year and this year, will be invited to take part in a special blessing from the Bishop.

We encourage all candidates and their families to attend one of these Masses.

Mel Shiels and other members from the Sacramental team will attend both Masses to support the candidates during this time.

It is planned that after communion has been distributed our candidates will be invited to come forward to the front of the Church and receive a blessing from Bishop Shane.

Please note the date in your diaries, on the calendar, in your phones, wherever you will see it! We would love to see as many, if not all, of you there!!

Spiritual Nourishment for Carers

Thursday 21 July 2022, 1pm-4pm

Presented via Zoom or in-person.

Carers live with profound beauty amidst the challenges of daily life. We offer these reflection/retreat days for carers who may need support, a place of welcome and some nurturing.  The session will offer an opportunity for carers to take some time out for themselves, if they are able, and join us for one or both of these reflection days.

We invite you to re-energise your mind and replenish your spirit.  Led by Heart of Life spiritual directors, Carole Carmody rsm and Cathy Beaton.  

Cost $30 per session.
