We're powering on to the end of the year!

Hey, my name is Pavitra Nallam and I’m the year 9 SRC for Hakea.

Can we just take some time to appreciate the fact that we’ve got the chance to spend our school year so far all in person? It’s crazy that the past 2 years were mostly spent in our homes. 

Our year 9 SRC have been working hard to make 2022 a great year for Dandenong High School. Including various donation services, lunchtime activities and the planning of this year's cultural week. The cultural week this year was entirely student-run so we owe some credit to the student leadership team! We really hope the students appreciated our efforts and enjoyed the week, it will be great to make this an annual event for the school community. 

I’d also like to thank the staff of Hakea. Seeing how hard they work is crazy. We all really appreciate your efforts and are extremely grateful. As we get deeper into Term 4, I just want to remind everyone to live in the moment and cherish your memories. Time moves by crazy quick and by the time we realise it it’s already been a year. Make sure to take care of yourself and make the most out of your time. Don’t lose this moment looking for another. And with that, I hope you all have a great rest of your year.
